Manzanillo
Manzanillo found the map when it opened itself to shipping and became known as the go to seaport in southwest Mexico opening in 1531. Even today it is considered to be the most essential shipping port in Mexico. Once people discovered that this now travel destination contained approximately 350 days of sun a year, it didn’t take long to become a premiere location for tourist as well.
Manzanillo's nearby closeness to the Sierra Madre Mountains keeps temperatures marginally cooler than a large portion of most other Mexico resort areas along the Pacific Coast. The best time to visit Manzanillo is amid the winter months from November to April. Whether you are visiting to get some relaxation in or you intend to participate on a few of the many water sports offered, you will enjoy this less known resort area from the time you arrive to the time you leave.
